Please note that no fee will be charged at registration. Tuition fees will be paid in June. An email from the Registrar's Office will then be sent to you.

As a new student, you do not have any course choices to make. After confirming your registration, your course schedule will be available in your Student File (dossier étudiant), in the Horaire personnel option. However, you must allow approximately 3 business days following your registration before receiving your course schedule.

As a new student, you must complete your study plan and submit it to your department for approval by your director of studies or research and by your Graduate Program Coordinator. Any candidate admitted to a graduate program must have his or her study plan approved by the registrar before his first registration or, at the latest, before the last day of the courses modification period of his first trimester of studies. (Article 6.1, General Regulations for Graduate Studies)

LANGUAGE CLASSES
If you are concerned that your language skills might hinder your studies, you should consider including language classes in your study plan.

Authorization to Transfer Credits
The interuniversity agreement of the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire allows a regular student of Polytechnique Montréal to take one or more courses in another Quebec university (host university). Certain conditions apply. A student who has obtained authorization to follow a course in another university has to follow the institutional regulations of Polytechnique as well as those of the host university.

Once you have confirmed your registration, you must make your course selection by making sure that you are registering your courses in the right program. To choose your courses, you must consult two documents: the academic path of your program (If you need advice on your course selection, your program officer can help you) and the course schedule for certificates.

Courses Modification (without financial penalty) |
After having officially registered, and only during the course modification period, you can use your Student File to make changes to your course selections. You can add or remove a course or change your course section (as per your needs and the workload of the chosen courses), in accordance with university regulations and available space in classes/sections. If you are at the bachelor's student and need advice on your course selection, your program's designated advisor (.pdf) can help you. Course Drop (with financial penalty) |
For Graduate Studies : Tuition fees must be paid for dropped courses. A dropped course will be listed in your file with the grade “R.” It will be automatically moved back into your study plan and you must take it a second time. To replace it with another course, you must complete a Change of Study Plan form (.doc) (.pdf). If you receive financial aid, ask the Financial Aid and Bursaries Sector about the effect that a course drop could have on your loans and bursaries calculation.
