Energy and Process Integration

This area of research brings together professors who work to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of industrial processes. They lead research projects on topics such as product and process design, process analysis, industry 4.0, supply chain analysis, and process energy analysis.

Here are some examples of applications:
 
  • Process redesign according to the principles of the circular economy
  • The design of an industrial biorefinery
  • Storage of new forms of energy, for example fuel cells
  • Optimization of industrial processes in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
  • Etc.
