Welcome sessions and activities

Are you a new Polytechnique student? Participating in welcome activities and sessions is an essential step in getting your university career off to a good start. These activities will give you the opportunity to discover the resources available to you, find your way around, prepare for your studies, and familiarize yourself with your new environment.

Graduate Studies (Master's, DESS, and Ph.D.)

Are you starting a master's, DESS or Ph.D. program at Polytechnique Montréal? To help you acclimate, we invite you to participate in two essential activities organized specifically for graduate students.

Welcome Breakfast for Graduate Students

With opening remarks from the administration of Polytechnique Montréal, this informal gathering will give you the opportunity to meet other members of the graduate student community, as well as representatives from the administration and various departments.

International Student Community

ORIENTATION SESSIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Are you coming to Polytechnique Montréal from abroad? These sessions are for you!

Get your term off to a smooth start by taking part in an orientation session tailored to your needs. The sessions provide the tools you need to succeed at Polytechnique Montréal. Topics include administrative procedures, available services, practical aspects of life in Montreal, and important campus landmarks.

NETWORKING EVENING — INTERNATIONAL STUDENT COMMUNITY

In addition to the orientation sessions, take part in a friendly networking activity hosted by the Student Services team. It's a great opportunity to meet other newcomers, make friends, and learn about Polytechnique's international student community.

The program includes a welcome address, an entertaining icebreaker activity, intercultural bingo, and prizes.

Exploring the services available to the student community

Would you like to learn more about the resources available to support you throughout your studies at Polytechnique Montréal?
Come ask your questions, learn about the available services (registrar's office, internship and career services, CEPSUM, Propolys, library, mental health support, student life, financial aid, services for students with disabilities, academic success support, etc.) and meet some great people right from the start.

Activities organized by student associations and their committees

Activities for Undergraduates

To welcome you to campus, PINEP (Programme d'Intégration des Nouveaux Étudiants de Polytechnique) and the Association Étudiante de Polytechnique (AEP) have planned a week of activities!

For over 40 years, PINEP's mission has been to provide a warm welcome to each new cohort and facilitate their integration into university life.
The program includes rallies, themed evenings, tournaments, games, and cultural, sporting, and festive activities — there's something for everyone!

Activities for Graduate Students

Are you starting or continuing a graduate program at Polytechnique? The Association Étudiante des Cycles Supérieurs de Polytechnique (AÉCSP) offers activities to enrich your experience beyond the lab and classroom.

Friendly get-togethers, cultural activities, sports outings, and themed happy hours aim to encourage interaction, expand your network, and foster a sense of community among graduate students.
