Decided on Polytechnique? Want to submit your application for one of Polytechnique’s Undergraduate Certificate programs, or Microprograms?

Ensure you meet general application criteria, and the specific application criteria for the program of study you’ve selected. Lastly, make sure you note application deadline dates.

ADMISSIONs process

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION

To submit an application, you must:

  • Select a certificate program
  • Verify that you are eligible to apply by consulting the admission requirements (in Fench only).
  • Take note of important deadline dates (in Fench only).
  • Create an account in the online admissions portal and activate your account by replying to the e-mail that will be sent to you.
  • Complete your application in the online admission portal and pay the fee for the review of your dossier.
  • Deposit all required documents by mail or in person with the Registrar at Polytechnique Montréal. Your application will be evaluated only once the Registrar at Polytechnique Montréal has received all the required documents. To ensure you have submitted all necessary documents, consult the admissions requirements that apply to you.
  • Check the status of your application in the online admission portal (under the Your Student File ). You can verify that your documents have been received and learn the decision of Polytechnique regarding your application.

DEADLINE DATES

For admission to the Fall semester:

  • Canadian applicants: June 1
  • Canadian permanent-resident applicants: June 1
  • International applicants: Not eligible

For admission to the Winter semester:

  • Canadian applicants: November 1
  • Canadian permanent-resident applicants: November 1
  • International applicants: Not eligible

For admission to the Summer semester:

  • Canadian applicants: February 1
  • Canadian permanent-resident applicants: February 1
  • International applicants: Not eligible
EVALUATION OF YOUR APPLICATION

Your application will be evaluated only once the Registrar of Polytechnique Montréal has received all the required documents. To ensure that you have submitted all the necessary documents, consult the admission requirements that apply to you. 

You should count on between 6 and 8 weeks after receiving your complete dossier to obtain a decision by Polytechnique. Once the decision is made, it will be posted under the Your Student File tab in the online admission portal.

HAVE YOU RECEIVED AN OFFER OF ADMISSION?

Please confirm your acceptance of the offer of admission as quickly as possible by accessing the online admission portal and indicating your reply to the offer under the Your Student File tab.

If you have been admitted, but you would like to make changes to your application or defer your admission to a subsequent semester, you can make a request by e-mail to admission.certificat@polymtl.ca. Make sure to include your first and last name, your date of birth and student number.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR A CUMULATIVE BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN SCIENCE

You cannot register directly in a cumulative bachelor’s degree. You must submit an application for each certificate program. You must complete three certificate programs according to the regulations of Polytechnique Montréal (in Fench only). At the end of your third certificate, you must complete a request for graduation to obtain a cumulative bachelor’s degree in science with a cybersecurity designation.
