Detailed description
This project aims to develop an advanced nanoparticle platform for mRNA delivery, based on a chitosan-mRNA core coated with a hyaluronic acid (HA) coating functionalized with neurotargeting peptides. The student will focus on the design and optimization of hyaluronic acid derivatives functionalized with neurotargeting peptides, as well as their use for coating the nanoparticles. They will work on the coupling conditions (EDC/NHS), the functionalization density, and study the impact of the coating on colloidal properties and neuronal uptake, leveraging Stunner AF, DLS, AF4, and NTA assays.
