The names of the winners have been announced from among the 150 students who took part in this past weekend's 22nd Canadian
Engineering Competition, the largest engineering competition of its kind in the world. CEC 2006 was held at the Plaza Hotel
Centre-Ville and at École Polytechnique de Montréal. A jury composed of industry and university representatives judged the
performances of contestants and teams, and the three winners in each category received awards of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000
respectively. Six special awards were also presented.
