Valérie BélisleValérie Bélisle has been Vice President of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations since August 12, 2024.

Biography

Ms. Bélisle holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Polytechnique Montréal (Po 2004). Since graduating, she has pursued her continuing education in leadership, management and philanthropic development through various specialized programs.

Ms. Bélisle served as Assistant Dean, Advancement in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta from 2016 to 2024. In this capacity, she was responsible for philanthropic development and spearheaded numerous initiatives involving student communities, partners and engineering graduates.

Prior to this, she spent five years as head of corporate donations at the Fondation et Alumni de Polytechnique Montréal. Her contribution helped to increase donations and strengthen existing relationships through various fundraising activities and campaigns.

From 2005 to 2011, she was Director of Business Development at Sanexen Environmental Services, a LOGISTEC division.

Throughout her career, Ms. Bélisle has demonstrated her ability to rethink, optimize and implement change for the benefit of leading-edge institutions working for the betterment of society. Her proven talent for building long-term, trust-based relationships has been a key driver in achieving objectives aimed at engaging internal and external communities.

Her past experience, as well as her connection as a former student and employee of the Fondation et Alumni de Polytechnique, give her an in-depth knowledge of our community.
