Students’ Achievements

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is very proud to present the students' achievements section. An overview of student life and recognition of their involvement in society, academics, and sports.
Integrative projects

Integrative projects (case studies) let students practice their academic fundamentals. Future engineers are involved in all steps of project management and problem-solving in Mechanical Engineering.

They allow students to question, innovate and further challenge their thoughts.

Furthermore, our pedagogical leadership promotes their success, while retaining their independence in the project.

As you can see, many of those projects demonstrated multidisciplinarity, responding to the needs of both the customer and society:

Vehicle operating with renewable energies. To support agriculture in Senegal.
World's first electric motorcycle on the market.

Modular utility vehicle for farm workers.

Electric monorail UbiCiT, for Montreal.
New proposition for commuter train.
Eco-friendly houses for people in Northern Canada.
Engineering opportunities

All Polytechnique Montréal students are welcomed in technical teams. Our department supports six of them.

Here, teamwork and technical work are useful in order to take part in international competition. They push beyond engineering limits and acquire experience in Management, Design, and Marketing. Lastly, it's a way for students to see if they would like to pursue graduate studies or create a company!
