Since fall 2020, the Library has been working on an important project that involves the digitization, weeding, and relocation of its physical collection. This major project aims to increase the number of seated places for both individual and collaborative work. Eventually, it will also allow for the addition of new study rooms.
As part of this project, a portion of the Library’s physical collection is to be moved to an off-campus preservation facility. The relocation will take place in the week of July 25-29, 2022. During this period, the targeted documents will be unavailable. Once the move is completed, you will be able to place a hold on these documents through the Sofia Discovery tool.
Please note that the printed books to be moved off-campus were selected on grounds of their low usage. Thus, the Cultural Collection, the Reference and Dictionaries Collection, documents at the Course Reserve, Techno-Prêt equipment, printed journals, dissertations and theses as well as highly borrowed printed books will remain at Pavillons Lassonde’s Louise-Lalonde-Lamarre Library; only printed books that are older unfrequently borrowed will be moved off-campus.
Should you require assistance with locating resources or with anything else that concerns the Library’s collection, the staff at the Service Desk and at the Reference Desk is always available to provide help. You may also reach us via chat by using our website’s Ask a question option website or by emailing us at email@example.com.
Exceptionally, the IEEE Xplore database will be down for a 2-hour planned maintenance on Saturday, July 23 and 30 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. During these periods, you may still continue your research by using the other databases available at the Library. We apologize for any inconvenience that this situation may cause. Should you require assistance with your research, please do not hesitate to reach us via e-mail by writing at firstname.lastname@example.org or by using the chat option available on the Library’s website.
Inspired by an article in L’actualité, Louise-Lalonde-Lamarre Library’s team presents a book exhibition that focuses on Quebecois writers from now and then who skillfully captured the province’s spirit through their prose. This exhibit highlights the Library’s Cultural Collection, which does not only contain numerous Quebecois literature classics, but also encompasses documents covering a wide variety of topics and literary genres. It is the perfect place to discover entertaining reads for your summer vacation! Furthermore, numerous books were recently added to this collection. You are also welcome to suggest purchases by completing the following form that is available on our website.
