Presentations and Workshops Offered at the Library this Fall

Throughout the term, the Library offers presentations and workshops on various tools and work methods targeted to optimize your student experience. Most of the presentations are also relevant to teaching and research staff, or are aimed directly at this group (Open Access Publishing, Research Data Management Plans). 

NEW: A majority of presentations are now offered in bimodal format. Choose if you prefer to attend on-site or virtually!

Proxy Configuration: Your Library at Your Fingertips

By configuring the proxy on your device, you'll be able to access all the Library's electronic resources off campus.

The configuration procedure is available on the Library website (under ServicesOff-Campus Access).

Short explanatory videos are also available on the Library's YouTube channel.

Midnight at the Library: Coming this Fall!

Starting September 5th, 2023, the Library’s opening hours will be extended for the entire 2023-2024 academic year:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:45 am to 12 am
  • Friday: 7:45 am to 10 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10 am to 6 pm

*Please note that the Service Desk and Reference staff begin at 8:30 on weekdays.

Back-to-School Activities at the Library

The Library team marks the beginning of the fall 2023 semester by hosting events in its spaces (L-7600 of the Pavillons Lassonde) over the next few weeks:

- Thursday, August 31, 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Lemonade stand (free!). At the Library entrance. Bring your own cup!

- Thursday, August 31 and Thursday, September 7, 12 to 1 p.m.: 3D printing demonstrations by the Library's computer systems technicians. In the entrance hall. Take the opportunity to ask your questions!

- Thursday, September 7, 12 noon to 1 p.m.: Biblio 101 workshop. In the Library's computer lab (L-7607). Start the session off on the right foot by learning everything you need to know about our resources and services. Registration required.
