Anyone applying for admission to an undergraduate certificate or microprogram must submit documents concerning their status in Canada and their education by deadlines. It’s important to inform us of all your secondary (equivalent to high school) and post-secondary studies (college, university, CPGE, BTS, etc.).
Note that an official or certified translation into French or English is required for any document written in any other language.
For more information about the documents required for admission and how to submit them, please read the sections that apply to you.

- All applicants must submit a birth certificate that includes their parents’ full names for admission.
Check whether you are required to take a French test.
If you are required to take a French test for admission, it must be sent to us at the same time as your other documents. If you do not submit your French test by the deadline (see deadlines), your application will be delayed and may be refused for failure to submit the French test required for admission.

Important information
- If your birth certificate, proof of status in Canada, French test (if applicable) and transcripts of previous studies are not sent by the deadline (see deadlines), your file will not be processed for the desired term. If your file remains incomplete for eight months, it will be closed without refund. You will then have to reapply for admission.
- Any studies not reported at the time of admission will not be taken into consideration for any future request for equivalence.
- Polytechnique reserves the right to request an original copy of an admission or identity document for verification purposes. If the required documents are not provided, your admission will be revoked.
- All documents provided become the property of Polytechnique Montréal and are not returned to candidates
Your documents must be sent by email.
You must ensure that you meet the deadlines for submitting documents, based on your status and the term when you would like to be admitted. Incomplete applications will be kept for eight months, after which time the file will be closed.
An official or certified translation into French or English is required for any document that is not written in one of these two languages.
