Keep your eye on

December 6, 2008 - 19 years later

This year, December 6 falls on a Saturday. Therefore, on Friday morning, December 5, a bouquet of 14 white roses will be placed before the memorial plaque and campus flags will be lowered to half-mast.

Because there will be no official ceremony and traditional minute of silence, we encourage you to pause individually at a convenient time for a moment of reflection. White ribbons, symbol of the struggle to stop violence against women, will also be available at the offices of the Association des étudiants de Polytechnique.

The pain has made way for the continuation of life ... but the memory of the 14 young women who lost their lives on December 6, 1989, lives on.
