Polytechnique Montréal International (POINT) promotes international mobility by supporting members of the Polytechnique Montréal student and faculty community through the management of scholarship programs and the promotion of funding opportunities, while providing students and researchers from abroad with information on programs that enable them to study at Polytechnique Montréal.

Objectives
Polytechnique Montréal's Japanese partner institution, the National Institute of Informatics (NII), offers laboratory research internships to graduate-level students (Reserach Master & Ph.D) in the fields of computer software engineering or any other field related to the list of available research topics (.pdf).
The internship scholarship is 5,700 JPY per day to cover sojourn expenses. Students themselves are responsible for other expenses (airline tickets, local transportation, supplementary insurance, etc.).
Internship duration may vary between 60 to 165 days and must end before March 31, 2027.
Polytechnique Montréal International (POINT)'s Contribution
Please submit your application to POINT, as the NII does not accept applications directly. Polytechnique Montréal is allowed a maximum of 3 applications. In the event that there are more than 3 applications, POINT will establish a selection committee.

- Attach your CV;
- Attach all your Mark/Grade records for Master's 1st and 2nd year and PhD courses (if applicable);

Objectives
Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development – Phase 2 (SEED-2) are facilitated through collaboration and student exchange agreements between Canadian educational institutions and those of the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Pacific Island countries, and Mongolia. These agreements are created between colleges, technical or vocational institutions and universities. Students, hereby referred to as "candidates", must be registered as full-time students in their home institution at the time of application and during the entire duration of their study or research stay in Canada.
Contribution of Polytechnique Montréal International (POINT)
POINT is responsible for submitting applications on behalf of eligible candidates and promoting this scholarship opportunity to professors and partner institutions in eligible countries. For successful candidates, POINT acts as the administrator of the contribution agreement, receives funding in the form of a contribution from Global Affairs Canada to award scholarships to recipients, and supports recipients throughout their stay.

Step 1: Students seeking a SEED-2 scholarship must, depending on their eligibility, choose one of the following options offered at Polytechnique Montréal:

This program is facilitated through institutional collaborations and student exchange agreements between post-secondary institutions in Canada and in the following eligible countries:

Objectives
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) offers bursaries to Chinese students wishing to complete doctoral studies, research internships, or post-docs in foreign countries.
POINT's Contribution
POINT negotiates the agreement that determines bursary program modalities between the CSC and Polytechnique Montréal, and also coordinates with implicated departments (Registrar's Office, various departments, etc.). POINT also submits the list of candidates retained by Polytechnique Montréal to CSC.

Eligible students
This bilateral program is open to students from non-French-speaking partner institutions who have been selected by Polytechnique Montréal based on exchange quotas and strategic priorities.
Objectives
In order to ensure equality in exchange student opportunities with its institutional partners, Polytechnique Montréal offer bursaries to international students completing research internships in English-language laboratories, as a means of supporting them during their stays. In return, Polytechnique Montréal maintains exchange spots for its own students within sought-after institutions.
POINT's contribution
Polytechnique Montréal International (POINT) requests internship opportunities from Polytechnique Montréal professors, promotes the program to its partners, is responsible for the selection process, coordinates invitations with departments, welcomes interns upon their arrival, and ensures their integration within the Polytechnique Montréal community during their stay.
