Cybersecurity and cyber-resilience

Projects related to the Government of Canada's strategies

MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
The GRCC’s mission is to develop, reinforce, and support an interdisciplinary and thorough approach to cybersecurity.

The Group’s work is in part based on its members’ diverse profiles and complimentary research expertise. Research will address: physical cyber systems security - notably including air, maritime, and rail transports systems; data protection; cyber-attack analysis using Artificial Intelligence; advanced systems protection; security of the IoT and edge computing; intrusion response; and cyber-resilience to attacks.

The GRCC will also head research into security-by-design to ensure design-level security, and cyber-threat intelligence (supply chain risk management to ensure strategic risk control. In terms of complimenting the work undertaken by the Canada Research Chair in Cybersecurity, the GRCC will focus on cyber-defense operations in large organizations.

Research involving SecSI (secure development software processes) for laboratories, and heterogeneous on-board systems will address numerous themes including the security of heterogeneous on-chip systems which integrate advanced technologies, cybernetic public health, cyber-criminality, and the information wars.
