Entrepreneurship plays an important role in economic development. It stimulates growth, creates jobs, generates investments and is considered a catalyst for creativity and innovation. In this presentation, Mohamed Khalil will share his experience with the company he has created during his studies (PYROCYCLE), with more information about the resources available to guide the students/entrepreneurs, as well as the non-dilutive financial resources that are available to help startups in Montreal. As a Business Advisor at Polytechnique Montréal, Thibault Bloyet will provide advice, as well as present some of the available resources for future entrepreneurs.
Mohamed Khalil
Mohamed Khalil is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Chemical Engineering of Polytechnique Montréal, member of the Process Engineering Advanced Research Lab (PEARL), working under the supervision of Prof. Jamal Chaouki & Prof. Jean-Philippe Harvey. He is also the CEO of PYROCYCLE, a Montreal based startup that developed a new thermochemical process for recycling end-of-life electronics waste, which could greatly facilitate moving forward to produce clean and high-quality products from the contaminated e-waste plastics and recover precious metals.
