Biographie

Oguzhan Tuysuz obtained his MASc. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of British Columbia (UBC) under the supervision of
Professor Yusuf Altintas. He was a member of the Manufacturing Automation
Laboratory (MAL) and his previous research focused on the dynamics
of machine tools; mathematical modeling of mechanics,
dynamics, vibration stability,
dimensional form errors and their compensation in machining processes;
also optimization of manufacturing parameters for
aerospace applications .

Oguzhan then joined Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) and worked
as a Machining Technology Development Specialist for
almost 3 years, during which time he contributed to the development,
improvement and optimization
newly introduced and existing aircraft engine component manufacturing processes .

Oguzhan Tuysuz has now been an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at
Polytechnique Montréal since November 2021. His
physics-based interdisciplinary research integrates
analytical, numerical and experimental approaches to digitize manufacturing and
minimize physical testing at the process development stage.
