If you are an engineering undergraduate, post-graduate student, or a recent graduate starting out your engineering career, then this webinar might be for you. In this webinar, professionals from the OIQ will share their knowledge on various topics including: 

- How is the engineering experience evaluated by the OIQ.

- How to be involved with the OIQ.

- How to promote the profession amongst women and emerging professionals.

- The admission program for graduated students from a bachelor engineering program outside Canada.

- The profession access program once a candidate is admitted (as a CEP or a candidate to the engineering profession).

Julie Blanchard, Eng. 

Julie Blanchard is a Chemical Engineering graduate and has received her MBA in December 2019. She is a dedicated and committed professional with over twenty years of experience in various fields such as technical service, sales and marketing in the industrial and agricultural sectors. She currently works as the Development and Business Relations Counsellor to the Direction de l’Accès à la profession at L'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. Her responsibilities include providing access to the Profession Program to students and potential candidates for the program, as well as employers and other professionals in various fields.

Sandra Gwozdz, Eng.

Since 1994, Sandra Gwozdz, Eng., FEC, has been actively involved at the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), the organization that oversees and supports approximately 65,000 engineering professionals in Québec. Her involvement encompasses many aspects of the profession: She is a member of the CEQB (Canadian Engineering Qualifications Board), the PIEVC and the NEATG (Public Infrastructure Engineering Vulnerability Committee and National Engineering Assessment Task Group), the FC2I (From Consideration to Integration Committee), the CEAB (Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board) and several initiatives that promote the profession and future engineers. In 2010, she was awarded the title of Fellow by Engineers Canada, the national organization of the 12 engineering regulators that license the country’s members of the profession, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the profession.

Sandra Gwozdz also makes a significant contribution as a board member of both the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and Engineers Canada. Last year, she was the national representative of the 30 by 30 initiative, which aims to raise the percentage of newly licensed engineers who are women to 30% by 2030.

After working in research and development (NRC) and fine-tuning her multiple technical and management skills at SMEs, she joined Airbus Canada / Bombardier where she has worked as a project manager for nearly 13 years. She is also an active volunteer for the Red Cross.

Sandra Gwozdz holds a degree in chemical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
