Abstract:

We present a supply chain model of one retailer and two competing suppliers with supply disruptions. To mitigate the effect of supply disruption we further extend our model by incorporating a perfectly reliable backup supplier into the model. We establish the sufficient conditions for the existence of the equilibrium solutions when suppliers are competitive. We propose coordination mechanisms among the channel members. Finally, computational analyses are conducted to illustrate our developed models.
