Hacking Health invites healthcare experts to collaborate with the vast technology talent in Montreal.

The idea is simple: Hackers love to solve problems, and healthcare has plenty to go around.

In the spirit of the successful Hacking Health weekends in 2012, we'd like to continue to support the community with Hacking Health Cafe - a series of monthly evenings with the goal to bring together entrepreneurs in the healthcare industry, and foster relationships between technology talent and healthcare experts, and keep up to date on local collaborations, projects and startups.

Are you developer, designer, engineer interested in the healthcare field?

Are you a doctor, nurse, administrator, researcher with an interesting idea?

Join us at the Hacking Health Cafe to be held at the Jewish General Hospital. It will be at the Herzl Clinic, 3rd floor of the yellow building (North of the main building).

The Cafe will include snacks and refreshments.

Dr. Mark Karanofsky - Patient Tracking for a Reflective Practice
Dr. Karanofsky is a family physician based at the Jewish General Hospital.
He is a full time teacher in the department of Family medicine, and is
involved in long term care, short term admissions, and would care.

Earl Werheimer - OSCAR EMR software
Oscar is the only widely deployed open source Electronic Medical Records
system in Canada, designed by doctors for doctors for use in medical offices.
Oscar is an open source project, that can be downloaded freely by anyone.

Dr. John Brohan - StayInTouch
StayInTouch is an application that is just like a digital picture frame.
It showcases a gallery of slowly changing pictures that family sends
in through it's webpage or via it's smart-phone app, called Show Grandma.

Daniel Martz - Equinoxe LifeCare
Equinoxe is a health care services company providing a broad range
of personalized medical and wellness services at home, in the hospital,
and internationally through their video-enabled Care Management center, 24/7.
