E-CORE (Engineering Collaboration to Online and Remote Education), or CIEL (Collaboration for Engineering Taught Online) is an initiative of the Canadian Association for Engineering Education. This network, created in 2020 to respond to the emergency linked to the pandemic, aims firstly to support teachers in the shift to online courses and then to explore emerging opportunities to advance engineering training. Resources and webinars in French are under development. Below is information on the online assessment webinars offered by E-Core.
Both from the original E-CORE survey and from continued conversations with many of you, we can clearly see the need for more support around Remote Assessment. After the incredible success of the highly-attended first E-CORE Assessments Webinar (Assessments - A Primer for Remote Teaching), we have planned two more assessment workshops to help you prepare for your upcoming courses. The first of these workshops is, Thursday, August 20th. To register, or to learn more about the workshop, visit the following link:
Remote Assessments 2 - Auto-Graded Approaches* - Thursday, August 20th, 2pm-3:30pm EDT
The third E-CORE Assessments workshop is also coming up on Thursday, August 27th:
Remote Assessments 3 - Simple-to-Grade Approaches* - Thursday, August 27th, 11:00am-12:30pm EDT
*Please note that these workshops are only being offered in English at this time.
Please feel free to share these events with your own networks. Everyone is welcome to attend!
