The Group for Research in Structural Engineering (GRS) is concerned with research on civil engineering structures including buildings, bridges, and dams.

The members of the group are involved in various fields of expertise, conducting state-of-the-art theoretical, numerical and experimental research on structures and materials. Part of this work is carried out in a high performance Structural Testing Facility to validate numerical models and investigate the structural behaviour of large-scale test specimens.
