IAM, an acronym for "Intelligent and Autonomous Mine", offers a training program oriented towards novelty, collaboration and experience in research (CREATE).
It will provide students with training that will enable them to acquire a holistic vision of the technological changes to come in the mining sector, including social, economic and environmental aspects, and to be better equipped to fully participate in this transformation.
This program is supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to the tune of 1.65 million dollars for up to six years. It was obtained by Professor Michel Gamache of Polytechnique Montreal in collaboration with nine co-applicants from Quebec and four academic institutions. 22 collaborators will also participate in the success of the project.

We thank the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) for its support.
