Biography
The research interests of Prof. Yann-Meing Law focus on numerical methods for PDEs, particularly in computational electromagnetics. He is mainly interested in the following topics:
- High-order methods for embedded boundary value and interface problems
- Hermite methods
- p-curl problem
- Nonlinear dispersive media
Before joining Polytechnique Montréal, Prof. Law was an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at California State University Long Beach. Prior to that, he was a fixed-term assistant professor in the Department of Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering (CMSE) at Michigan State University, where he was member of Prof. Daniel Appelö‘s research group. He also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University in the research group of Prof. Jean-Christophe Nave in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
