Publications
Biography
Daria Boffito is currently Professor in Chemical Engineering at Polytechnique Montreal. She holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Industrial Chemistry and a M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry and Management from the University of Milan.
Between 2013 and 2016 she has been a post-doctoral fellow at Polytechnique Montreal, supported by the FRQNT PBEEE and the NSERC Banting Scholarships.
She has held the Canada Research Chair in Intensified Mechano-Chemical Processes for Sustainable Biomass Conversion (2106-2021) and she is now Chairholder in Engineering Process Intesification and Catalysis (EPIC).
Her research interests cover biomass to chemical and fuels, process intensification, photocatalysis, power/gas to liquids and metal extraction from ores or end of life streams.
She collaborates with several Canadian and foreign companies.
