CS Games 2014: two Polytechnique teams finish 1st and 5th
The 11th edition of the inter-university competition was held from March 21 to 23, at École de technologie supérieure.
The Computer Science (CS) Games are a collegiate competition that includes challenges from all aspects of computing. The Games are a weekend long thrill ride, with logic puzzles, difficult algorithms, intense video game competitions, social activities, and of course, programming. Organized by students at a different university every year, the CS Games are open to all undergraduate students. Teams are composed of 7 to 10 skilled people, each participating in multiple simultaneous challenges.
This year's Polytechnique delegation consisted of 21 students divided into two teams. The PolyTouriste team (Alexandre Rose, Étienne Ducharme, Charles-André Huard, Anthony Buffet, Marc-André Levasseur, Benjamin Correal, Benoit Forget, Francis Deslauriers, Sébastien Séguin, Cédric Barbez and Félix Contant) finished in first place, while the PolyAventure team (Laurence Lafontaine, David Mainville, Vincent Longpré, Antoine Busque, Gauthier Viau, Jules Gagnon-Marchand, Mathieu M-Gosselin, Annie Guo Joli-Cœur, Nicolas Cloutier and Simon Pearson) came in fifth overall.

1st place: Polytechnique Montréal, PolyTouriste,
63.15%
2nd place: McGill University, MemeGill, 54.45%
3rd place: Concordia University, Ye Olde P2P, 54.13%
4thplace: Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, #Hashtag, 53.32%
5th place: Polytechnique Montréal, PolyAventure, 52.17%
