A full professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Engineering Physics, Mr. Kashyap is also holder of the Canada Research Chair in Future Photonics Systems and a member of the Centre de recherche avancée en micro-ondes et en électronique spatiale (Advanced Research Centre in Microwaves and Space Electronics - POLY-GRAMES), the Centre de recherche en électronique radiofréquence (Centre of Research in Radiofrequency Electronics - CREER) and the Groupe PolyPhotonique (PolyPhotonic Research Group).

This Fellowship is awarded to scientists who have made a major contribution to the field of physics during their career. The IOP is a scientific organization devoted to increasing the practice, understanding and application of physics.
