Professor Raman Kashyap is named a Fellow of SPIE

Raman Kashyap, full professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, was promoted to Fellow of the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) in June.

Professor Kashyap received this honour for his outstanding contributions to the field of fibre optics and fibre Bragg gratings (FBR) networks.

Represented in 150 countries, SPIE advances emerging technologies through interdisciplinary information exchange, publications, educational and training programs, awards, conventions and exhibitions and the professional development of its approximately 225,000 members.
