The second annual edition of the Polytechnique Sustainability Report, available online only, describes:
- the Sustainable Campus certification project;
- the governance structure and stakeholders' participation;
- the strategic framework for the implementation of the move toward sustainability as part of a continuous-improvement
process;
- achievements for the 2010-2011 year (June 1, 2010, to April 30, 2011) in line with the five focuses of the 2011-2014
action plan;
- Polytechnique's challenges and outlook for the 2011-2012 year.
"The main event of the 2010-2011 year was the preparation of a file for the application for Sustainable Campus certification
(which was obtained in September 2011)," said Louise Millette, Director of the Department of Civil, Geological and Mining
Engineering and Chair of CODDEP. "In doing so, Polytechnique's administration, along with the members of its Assemblée de
direction, as well as the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students' associations, declared in a single voice that they are
Committed to a Sustainable Campus. On behalf of Polytechnique, the CODDEP also wishes to acknowledge the major
contribution of all Polytechnique community members to the sustainable development process."
