This award is given in recognition of distinguished, continued services provided to the AQTr and TransForm, the AQTr's training centre.

An associate professor in the Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, Ms. Morency chairs the Table d'expertise Transport collectif (public transportation expertise committee) and sits on the Table Mobilité durable (sustainable mobility committee). She is very active in researching subjects for discussion at the committees' meetings, and is directly involved in the related presentations. Always full of ideas, she regularly suggests deliverables as well as colloquium topics and speakers. She often lectures at the AQTr's activities, and uses her extensive network of contacts to find other presenters.

At the convention, bursaries are awarded to encourage the next generation in the transportation industry, reward the scholarly efforts of college- and university-level students in the field, and facilitate students' insertion into the transportation field. In the master's and doctoral categories, the Bourse Ville de Montréal ($2,000) was awarded to Pierre-Léo Bourbonnais for his project “Outil intégré de collecte, d'analyse et de visualisation de données de mobilité” (integrated mobility data collection, analysis and viewing tool). Mr. Bourbonnais is a civil engineering doctoral student at Polytechnique Montréal and is supervised by Professor Morency.

The convention theme was “Les infrastructures de transport, un moteur de développement,” (transportation infrastructures: a development driver). The conference provides an excellent opportunity for professionals in all areas of transport to take part in the conversation that helps move the field forward by presenting the results of their efforts and sharing their knowledge.
