Offered by the Canadian Mining and Metallurgical Foundation (CMMF), the $12,000 awards go to Canada's top mining students.

The scholarships, which are given in three instalments -- $3,000 in the second year, $4,000 in the third year and $5,000 in the final year -- aim to support outstanding students in mining programs (with a special emphasis on underground mining) and encourage academic excellence.

Congratulations to Mr. Koto for this award!
