International students

Financial questions
Before coming to Canada, international students who are recipients of awards from their government or another funding body should check the dates and details of the payment schedule, and ask for a detailed list of the costs covered by the award.
Certain governments and organizations do not cover all study-related expenses, including:
Students should also check whether the funds will arrive in time to cover their initial expenses. If the award includes medical coverage, this should be clearly stated on the award attestation letter, since proof of coverage will be needed to opt out of École Polytechnique’s compulsory health insurance plan.
If the award does not extend to both tuition and living expenses, students must provide the Québec and Canadian immigration authorities with evidence of additional financial resources.
Please note that international students are not eligible for the Québec Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport loan and bursary program. Furthermore, École Polytechnique does not offer scholarships to international students in undergraduate programs; however, certain awards are available to master’s and doctoral students.
