Notice to media - École Polytechnique de Montréal ceremony marking December 6

Invited to the ceremony are the victims' families, people injured during the event, and Polytechnique graduates, professors, staff, students and retirees who wish to gather to reflect on the drama 20 years later. This simple commemoration will highlight certain personal achievements and will be marked by an overriding message of hope and faith in the future.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MEDIA
Media representatives may attend the ceremony. An area space will be reserved for them in the west loft.
IMPORTANT - Out of respect for the privacy of those present, cameras will not be permitted, and the ceremony may not be recorded or photographed in any way by media representatives.
Media ID required. Media must register at the entrance to the west loft, right-hand door, at the front of the Basilica.
École Polytechnique Director-General Christophe Guy, as well as certain people who will be speaking, will be available for interviews at the end of the ceremony.

GENERAL PUBLIC - COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE
Members of the public can gather at any time during the weekend of December 5 to 6, 2009, at the December 6, 1989,
commemorative plaque on the west façade of the Main Building of École Polytechnique. The plaque will be adorned with flowers
for the occasion.
