Media invitation - Press briefing by Polytechnique Montréal's Oronos team, which just won an international rocketry competition - a first for a Canadian team!

Zéphyr, the rocket the team used for the Intercollegiate Rocketry Engineering Competition (IREC 2012), was recovered in the
desert after reaching an altitude of 9,920 feet. It will be on location on August 9. The meeting will take place in the
presence of the Polytechnique community and young campers from the Folie Technique science day camp.
A year of preparations, 6,000 hours of work, the challenge of an international competition, a stunning victory—it all
adds up to an unforgettable adventure well worth sharing.
To get a sense of the competition's scope, you can see a few images of the Zéphyr's launch on the Oronos website. Thrills
