MEDIA INVITATION - A Canadian first: École Polytechnique acquires expertise in mobile drinking-water treatment

Just before the tour of the mobile unit, you are invited to attend the official inauguration of the NSERC Industrial Chair on Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution. The work conducted by researchers affiliated with this chair, now into its third grant award period, has led to recognized scientific results with applications both in industry and in various municipal water systems including those in Montréal, Laval, Moncton and Vancouver.
Among those scheduled to attend are Sammy Forcillo, Member of the Executive Committee responsible for infrastructure and road networks, City of Montreal; André Boileau, Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee, City of Laval; Gilles Filion, President, John Meunier Inc.; Representative of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC); Professor Michèle Prévost, Senior Chairholder and Professor Benoit Barbeau, Junior Chairholder, NSERC Industrial Chair on Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution; and Robert L. Papineau, Director General, École Polytechnique de Montréal.
