Michel Meunier is a full professor at the Department of Engineering Physics and holder of the Canada Research Chair in Micro- and Nano-Engineering of Materials Using Lasers. He was named Fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA) in recognition for his exceptional contributions to the fields of optics and photonics.
Professor Meunier was named Fellow for his work on the fundamentals of laser materials processing and plasmonics and their application in biomedical, nanotechnology, and microelectronics.
OSA members who have served with distinction in the advancement of optics may be proposed by their peers for election to the class of Fellow. This honor is reserved to no more than 10% of the total membership.
