C'est en raison de ses exceptionnelles qualités de leader en ingénierie, ainsi que de ses services rendus à l'Institut à l'échelle nationale, que M. Aubertin s'est mérité cet honneur. Titulaire de la Chaire industrielle CRSNG/Polytechnique/UQAT en environnement et gestion des rejets miniers et co-responsable du Laboratoire d'hydrogéologie et environnement minier, M. Aubertin consacre ses recherches à la gestion des rejets miniers et leurs impacts sur l'environnement
The John B. Stirling Medal was first awarded in 1988. This medal is awarded by the Council of the Institute in recognition of leadership and distinguished service at the national level within the Institute and/or its Member Societies, by members of these Societies.
