Jean-Philippe Sylvestre, a student Physical Engineering, receives a $ 1,000 prize for his paper entitled: Gold nanoparticles fabricated by laser ablation in liquid medium for application in biosensing. The work of Mr. Sylvester were supervised by Professor Michel Meunier and Edward Sacher, a researcher at the Department Physical Engineering.
Each year, during the graduation ceremony, Polytechnique Montreal gives an award to the student who wrote the best Master's thesis.
