The pursuit of excellence is embodied by the quest for exceptional quality in all things. This philosophy is accompanied by certain fundamental values. The practice of engineering, the profession you are working toward, is necessarily based on competence, responsibility, ethics and social commitment. These values underlie the Policy on the enhancement of professional excellence of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

The Fellowship for Excellence in Graduate Studies is the part of this policy that is intended to encourage engineering students at university. It recognizes the pursuit of excellence demonstrated by certain members and engineering student members of the Student Section, whose academic results and commitment to social and their community reflect the values of the profession.
