Professor Arthur Yelon was granted the status of Emeritus Professor for his outstanding career in engineering physics, both in terms of teaching as research. He is a member of several technical societies and Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
This honour is awarded by Polytechnique Montreal to a retired professor in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the institution's mission. The title of professor emeritus is a very high distinction. It is honorary and does not involve any right nor any obligation for the recipient.
