Research areas description
Prof. F. Lesage and his team are developing new imaging techniques combining optics and other methods to study the vascular network and how it changes in association with diseases. At the microscopic level, his works combine modeling of the vascular network with new molecular probes, and aim to understand how the oxygen is delivered to the brain, and what is the effect of pulsatility on vascular function. These microscopic measurements are then compared to measurements having a clinical impact by modeling the MRI physics and comparing measurements.
