Biography

Pierre-Yves Lajoie is a researcher in robotics and artificial intelligence, specializing in robotic perception for single and multi-agent systems. He is a professor in the Department of Computer and Software Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal and has held research positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2019), the Samsung AI Center (2023), and the University of Oxford (2024). His research focuses on robotic perception, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and distributed systems, with applications in aerial, underground, indoor, and space robotics. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Vanier Canada Scholarship and the Best Paper Award at the IEEE ICC 2024 conference. Dedicated to applied research, he has collaborated with numerous academic and industrial partners.
