Polytechnique Montréal named one of Montreal’s best employers for second year in a row
For the second year in a row, Polytechnique Montréal has earned a spot on Mediacorp Canada’s annual “Montreal’s Top Employers” list, reaffirming its reputation as one of the city’s best workplaces.
This recognition highlights Polytechnique’s initiatives in work-life balance, including its “exceptional” vacation and leave policies, as well as its commitment to employee well-being. Polytechnique supports a healthy, active lifestyle by reimbursing expenses for physical activities, cultural programs and artistic pursuits, while also ensuring financial security through a defined-benefit pension plan for a worry-free retirement.
Mediacorp Canada also commended Polytechnique for its flexible work arrangements, including remote work options, flexible hours and a summer schedule, along with competitive benefits such as partial coverage of health insurance premiums, enhanced maternity and parental leave allowances and extensive professional development opportunities.
A workplace driven by collective engagement
This recognition reflects the expertise and commitment of Polytechnique’s 1,600 faculty and staff members, who contribute daily—in offices, labs, workshops and classrooms—to the institution’s mission of teaching, research, innovation and community service.
“Earning this distinction for a second year in a row fills us with pride,” said Maud Cohen, President of Polytechnique Montréal. “It’s a testament to our community’s commitment to fostering a workplace where everyone thrive and fully contribute to our mission.”
“This distinction reflects our teams’ ongoing efforts to build a stimulating, modern and inclusive environment where professional development and well-being align with academic and research excellence,” added Brigitte Morneau, Acting Director of Talent and Culture.
