Louise Millette appointed to Ressources Québec Board of Directors
Louise Millette, Director of Polytechnique Montréal's
Départment of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering, has been appointed to the new Board of Directors of Ressources
Québec.
On April 18, the Government of Québec announced the creation of Ressources Québec, a subsidiary of Investissement Québec
specializing in mines and hydrocarbons. Given its major funding, Ressources Québec will be able to make strategic
investments, stimulate economic growth and help Québec residents enjoy the benefits of the Plan Nord and of the development of
resources.
Ms. Millette was appointed, along with
three other women and four men, because of her knowledge in the realms of science and natural resources.
“I would like to thank the members of the
new Ressources Québec Board of Directors for agreeing to tackle the challenges of the future, in order to make sure that all
Québec residents can directly benefit from the wealth being developed on their land,” said Mr. Bazin.
The Ressources Québec Board of Directors will be
chaired by Jacques Daoust, President and Chief Executive Officer of Investissement Québec.
Ressources Québec will provide financial and assistance solutions to businesses that wish to develop major, structure-enhancing
and profitable projects in Québec, including exploration, transformation and development of resources.
Our heartiest congratulations to Ms. Millette. We wish her the best of luck in her new functions.
