New ride-sharing service at Polytechnique

October 26, 2005 - Source : NEWS
PolySphère and COGEP, Polytechnique's environmental committees, have teamed up to offer a new ride-sharing service at Polytechnique.

The service consists of a bulletin board where drivers and passengers can post ride-sharing offers and requests for anywhere in Québec. The service, which is aimed at long-distance rides (e.g. for weekends away), functions in much the same way as the Allo-Stop program. The service is available to the entire Polytechnique community: students, professors and non-teaching staff. The bulletin board is located on the first floor of the main building, near the escalators.

Details on how the service works can be found at the following link: http://www.polymtl.ca/cogep/vivre/

For local rides (i.e. for getting to and from school), consult the Université de Montréal ride-sharing service at: http://www.toutmontreal.com/covoiturageudem/
