Sudoku contest: And the winner is...
The aim of the contest was to complete a partially filled-in grid in the only way possible by adding the fewest possible instances of the numerals 1 to 9. Dozens of participants of all ages tried their luck.
The young victor, who won an iPod, acknowledged that he found the challenge difficult enough at first, but that once he grasped
the logic, the problem solved itself. He also confessed to knowing nothing about Sudoku a mere two months ago, despite the
puzzle's current popularity. "My father introduced me to the puzzle one day, and since then I've been hooked!"
But what interests the Secondary III student even more is software engineering, a field he hopes to enter. "I love it! It's for
me, I'm sure of it," he says.
Congratulations to Philippe, who shows all too clearly that wisdom has nothing to do with age...

The Ipod was graciously offered by MicroPoly.
