Professor Jean Mahseredjian named an IEEE Fellow
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) recently bestowed the title of Fellow on Jean Mahseredjian, full professor of electrical engineering at Polytechnique, “for his contributions to computation and modelling of power systems transients.”
With more
than 400,000 members in over 160 countries — engineers, scientists and allied professionals working in the electrical,
electronic, computer sciences and related disciplines — the IEEE is the world's largest professional association
dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
Recognizing the achievements of its members is an important part of the mission of the IEEE. Each year, following a rigorous evaluation, the IEEE Fellow Committee recommends a select group of recipients for one of the IEEE's most prestigious honours, elevation to IEEE Fellow. The IEEE confers the Fellow distinction upon a member with an outstanding record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. It is the highest grade of membership and is recognized by the technical community as an important career achievement.
Our heartiest congratulations to Professor Mahseredjian!
