Polytechnique graduate Julie Guicheteau among Equiterre's 12 "favourite women environmentalists"
To mark International Women's Day, Equiterre decided to honour the exceptional contributions of 12 women environmentalists. In recent decades, all of them have, in their own way, made a fundamental difference for the environmental cause.
Committed to
sustainable mobility and co-author of the book Projets efficaces pour une mobilité
durable - Facteurs de succès (Effective Projects for Sustainable Mobility – Success Factors) Julie Guicheteau
has also worked on environmental management in the university and industrial sectors. She is continuing her work for the
environment as a climate-change engineer for the City of Montréal.
In 2009, she received the very first Laure Waridel Bursary, presented by Equiterre and the Caisse d'économie solidaire Desjardins, for her master's project Facteurs de succès de projet de mobilité durable, with research directed by Louise Millette, Director of Polytechnique's Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering.
