A new microprogram from the Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering: ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGICAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The program was launched in association with the Centre d'entrepreneurship HEC-Poly-UdeM under Défi Montréal (an initiative of the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles du Québec), in partnership with Emploi-Québec and the Montréal chapter of the Conférence régionale des élus.
The microprogram was created to help students acquire the entrepreneurial skills needed to plan and start up a technology firm. Students will choose a business model, structure their entrepreneurial approach, guide their project through Québec's business network, and make good use of the funding, advice and support available to technology entrepreneurs.
Through the program, students will acquire:
- the tools that will enable them to put together a
business plan;
- personalized advice and support for starting their business.
The program also aims to help immigrant students integrate into the Québec business community.
The microprogram is designed for professionals who:
- hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or another
scientific field, with a GPA of at least 2.50/4 (or an equivalent approved by Polytechnique);
- have at least two years of work experience;
- want to start a business.
