An entrance scholarship that's going places

July 4, 2011 - Source : NEWS
In June 2007, Polytechnique offered its first-ever entrance scholarship to a student from Séminaire Sainte-Trinité in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville. Intended for a Secondary 3 student, the scholarship, which has been awarded annually since then, was given to Félix Crevier for his strong mathematics grades, his leadership and the creative and ingenious spirit he demonstrated in his science and technology classes.

After high school, Félix completed his college studies in natural sciences, and then entered Polytechnique's aerospace engineering program. This talented young student will proudly begin his studies at Polytechnique this fall. Note also that in April, Félix received an additional $2,000 bursary from Polytechnique for earning an R score higher than 32, his being 34.7. Clearly, the initial entrance scholarship he received in Secondary 3 was an indicator of good things to come!

Accompanied by Sophie Larivée, senior advisor to future Polytechnique students, Félix attended the Séminaire's annual awards gala on June 10 to deliver the 2011 award to recipient Frédéric Leroux. Polytechnique wishes Frédéric the best of luck. We hope to welcome you as a student in a few short years!

Congratulations to both students for their perseverance and determination! Good luck in your academic careers!
