CEO Christophe Guy promoted to the rank of Officer of the Ordre national du Québec

Premier Jean Charest will be presenting insignia of the Ordre national du Québec on June 15 at the Hôtel du Parlement in Québec City to 33 outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves in various spheres of activity of Québec society. Polytechnique is proud to announce that Christophe Guy, the school's Chief Executive Officer, has been promoted to the rank of Officer of the Ordre.


As a professor, researcher and expert in the environmental field, Dr. Guy is the author of more than 100 scientific papers and the holder of eight patents. Since 2007, this champion of technology transfer has directed École Polytechnique skilfully and successfully. Active in major industrial clusters in Montréal, Dr. Guy was able to develop and maintain fruitful links with industry over the years. As director of research and innovation at Polytechnique from 2001 to 2007, he equipped the school with world-class infrastructure and helped position it as a leader of research and innovation in Canadian engineering.

The Ordre national, instituted in June 1984 by the Québec National Assembly, is the highest distinction awarded by the Québec government.
